Syrian regime strikes border
crossing with Turkey

Bab al-Hawa bombing

Syrian regime jets on Tuesday bombed the Bab al-Hawa area on the Syrian side of the border crossing to Turkey’s Cilvegozu, activists said.

The Local Coordination Committees reported that 8 people had been killed in the strike, while dozens had been injured.

The LCC added that the area is home to a number of refugees.

Meanwhile, activists on Tuesday uploaded a video purporting to show the aftermath of the attack.

Syrian rebels seized the Bab al-Hawa crossing in the northeast of the country in July 2012. A deadly bomb attack hit the buffer zone between Cilvegozu and Bab al-Hwawa in February 2013.

A video uploaded Tuesday purports to show damage at the Bab al-Hawa border post following a regime air strike. (YouTube)

The LCC added that the area is home to a number of refugees.
