Berri to Siniora: The parliament is closed because of your unconstitutional government

Speaker Nabih Berri’s media office replied to Prime Minister Fouad Siniora’s statement after his meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

“We totally agree on his statement calling for dialogue between Lebanese factions and the revival of the parliament, which has been closed for more than 15 months, as he said,” the statement read.

“Yet, Siniora should have clarified that the reason for the parliament’s closure is his illegitimate and unconstitutional government.”

The statement also accused Siniora of being responsible for the government’s present status.

"Berri to Siniora: The parliament is closed because of your unconstitutional government". You don't decide on whether the Government is unconstitutional or not. Enough ignorant people like berry.

Berri's office " the reason for the parliament’s closure is his illegitimate and unconstitutional government.” WOW, berry and his gangs are smart, he decided on his own that the gov. is unconstitutional, but he would have been much smarter, if he would have used the constitutions by holding the parliament meeting and take away the trust from the goverment, and the government will fold. But instead, Berri listens to syria, iran and hassan, HE DECIDEDE not to use the constitutions, close the doors and give the keys to hassan.

Berri claim that the government is uncostitutional is arbitrary, unconstructive. & in all likely hood unconstitutional. If this becomes a precident. No government will ever to be able to govern. Any sect would have a defacto veto. This would only lead to the sectarian breakdown of Lebanon. For true democracy to succeed the good of the whole must always take prsident. What is evident. there is no colective desire for nation building. Groups like HA can within the framework of legitamately ellected parlimentarians Hijack the direction of a country & substitute other adgendas. Berri clearly understands if does not tow the HA line he will be deemed obsolete. These are his last days of glory but then again he may reinvent himself again.

This Berry is a tool, I thought just last week he said " Berri to Sarkozy: He who calls for 14 presidential sessions cannot be accused of closing the parliament ". Now he is saying is closed because the terrorrist does not like it....Well tough dude.

I think Berri is much more intelligent than his office's statement. The author of the statememt should be reprimanded for its senseless rationale.Even Lebanon's personalised politics ,let alone institutional mechanism, would cry stupidity for the statement's dumpy nonesense.
