BEIRUT - Former Prime Minister Rashid Solh died on Friday at the age of 89, the National News Agency has reported.

Rashid Solh was the fourth member of the Sunni family to become premier, after Riad al-Solh, Sami al-Solh, and Taqieddine al-Solh.

His funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at the Imam Ouzai shrine in Beirut, and a three-day official mourning period will begin Saturday.
