Hezbollah mobilizes to defend
Shiite shrines in Syria

BEIRUT - Hezbollah announced a general mobilization, and sent more than 1,000 fighters to defend the Sayyidah Zaynab Shrine in Damascus, NOW's correspondent in South Lebanon reported.

Hezbollah's decision came after the Iraqi Shiite militia Abi Fadl al-Abbas withdrew from Syria and returned to Iraq to defend Shiite shrines from possible attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).

A source close to Hezbollah told NOW's correspondent that prominent Iraqi Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr announced the formation of a military group aimed at protecting Shiite shrines following the latest developments in Iraq, and the deployment of ISIS gunmen in Mosul.

ISIS had also issued a statement pledging to take over Iraq's Karbala, a city that is considered one of the holiest sites for Shiite Muslims.

I think all of Hezbollah and the Shiite population of Lebanon should move "en masse" to Syria and Iraq to defend all their shrines (Ali, Hussein, Karbala, Zeinab, etc. etc. etc.). Not only will they defend their sect - as brave and outnumbered as they may be - against the vast Sunni expanse lined up against them, but they will rid Lebanon of their "resistance" and "liberation" and all that jazz. There is nothing for the Shiites to fight for in Lebanon anymore: No Jews or Israelis, the Christians have been emasculated and no longer have the gonads to fight, the Lebanese Sunnis have been softened and sissified by their association with the Christians, and the Druze are like the village idiot who, scary as they may look, do not amount to much. Please Hezbollah, move your 50,000 missiles, your 20,000 brainwashed and armed idiots, and all your mattresses and cooking utensils to Syria and Iraq and liberate yourselves there from the Sunni enemy. Here in Lebanon, we'll all be glad you did.
