Six Syrian rockets target Brital

Syria rebels lay out mortar shells.

BEIRUT - Six rockets - launched from Syria - targeted the Shiite town of Brital in the Beqaa Valley, NOW’s correspondent reported Friday.

 

Two rockets landed in the morning in the Shalah neighborhood; one struck the house of army First Adjutant Abbas Najah Ismail, but did not cause any casualties.

 

Later in the day, four rockets targeted mountainous parts of the town, including the area of Al-Nabi Skheir.

 

In recent months, Hermel and other areas of eastern Lebanon - bastions of support for the powerful Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah - have been targeted by rockets launched from Syria.
