BEIRUT - Lebanese Shiite party Hezbollah has vowed to retaliate to Monday’s Israeli air raid, which targeted one of its bases in the Baalbek town of Janta.
“This Israeli assault will not pass without retaliation by the resistance, who will choose the right time, place, and means,” read a Hezbollah statement issued Wednesday.
The statement denied media reports that the raid targeted a rocket launch site and killed Hezbollah members.
“The assault did not [leave] any martyrs or wounded. It [only] caused material damage to the [targeted] location,” the statement read.
