BEIRUT - Lebanese Shiite party Hezbollah has vowed to retaliate to Monday’s Israeli air raid, which targeted one of its bases in the Baalbek town of Janta.

“This Israeli assault will not pass without retaliation by the resistance, who will choose the right time, place, and means,” read a Hezbollah statement issued Wednesday.

The statement denied media reports that the raid targeted a rocket launch site and killed Hezbollah members.

“The assault did not [leave] any martyrs or wounded. It [only] caused material damage to the [targeted] location,” the statement read.

They are very foolish these Hezbolli. Their unilateral intervention in the Syrian War, which has prompted retaliatory strikes by Syrian Opposition fighters in Lebanon as well as Regime air strikes and artillery attacks on Lebanese soil, without response from Hezbollah, has undermined Hezbollah's credibility as a "Resistance". A Resistance resists, it does not engage in offensive operations away from the territory it purportedly exists to protect. But Hezbollah has changed its mission, it has countenanced attacks on Lebanese soil by both sides of the Syrian War and has not resisted the attacks of either side. It has not threatened retribution and has failed in its mission of resisting violations of Lebanese sovereignty. But Israel does what the Syrian regime has been doing for months, and we get the Hitler salutes, the threats and the seeming justification for the continuance of the resistance? It is all BS. All BS. The Hezbollah Resistance is no more. It is just another advanced brigade of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards tasked with carrying out missions on behalf of the Iranian Supreme Leader. Nothing more, nothing less. It has no place in the Lebanese Government policy statement, despite Israeli efforts to make sure that it is included.
