Five Arab Tawhid Party members
killed in Syria clashes

Five members of Wiam Wahhab’s Arab Tawhid Party were killed in Syria during clashes with rebels, the party’s press office announced Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the party’s office, the members were killed on Monday in the town of Arna in Mount Hermon.

The statement identified the 4 deceased men and one woman as Hassan Baraka, Sami Abu Aql, Assaad Abu Morra, Hassan Badreddine and Noura al-Nabawani.

The Lebanese political scene is split between pro-Syrian regime parties affiliated with the March 8 alliance – spearheaded by Hezbollah – and western-backed forces associated with the March 14 coalition.
