Hezbollah reinforces deployment amid
threats to target Dahiyeh hospitals

BEIRUT - Hezbollah and the Lebanese army deployed at the main entrances of the Beirut area of Dahiyeh, after the Shiite party received information about a planned attack by Sunni extremists against the Al-Rasoul al-Azam and Bahman hospitals, Al-Joumhouria newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Hezbollah led a preventive deploying plan, as well as a control and search operation in the area, the paper added.

A well-informed security source told Al-Joumhouria that threats to target Dahiyeh and Hezbollah-dominated areas increased after the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham took over large areas in Iraq.

The source also denied that security forces discovered an underground tunnel that links the Palestinian refugee camp of Bourj al-Barajneh to the Sabra and Shatila camp.
