The 2nd edition of Beirut Open Stage

Beirut Open Stage

This Sunday, Solea V hosted the second edition of Beirut Open Stage [BOS], a new kind of event all about sharing music and art by giving opportunities to anyone who deserves them.

This time around there was a great mix of newcomers and established artists. The latter were paired with a green performer each, offering them on-stage support - Wassim Bou Malham from Who Killed Bruce Lee played with Ingrid Bawab, Charlie Rayne with Serge Yared, Julia from Postcards performed with OAK, and Eddy from the Wanton Bishops accompanied Xriss Jor.  As one of the organizers of BOS said, “there were a lot of interesting mixes, and the quality was high.”

All in all, 15 duos took to the stage between 7pm, going right the way through until midnight. Behind the singers, three paintings by artist Alexandre Khoury hung. Two music videos directed by Robert Cremona were also projected, including the one of Mayssa Jallad, winner of the first edition of BOS.

The 3rd edition promises to bring with it another interesting concept: The Beatles versus The Rolling Stones. This edition will take place in about a month.
