UN Security Council begins emergency talks on Gaza flotilla raid

The United Nations Security Council began an emergency session to discuss the Israeli raid on a flotilla of ships seeking to take aid to the Gaza Strip.

At least 10 people were killed as Israeli commandos stormed a boat carrying pro-Palestinian activists bound for Gaza, Israeli television and radio stations reported on Monday.

The talks were requested by Lebanon, which holds the council's rotating presidency until Tuesday.
