SSNP condemns Israeli “massacre” in Golan

Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) condemned the Israeli “massacre” which led to the killing of more than 15 people in Golan, the National News Agency reported on Sunday.

“What happened today in Golan was deliberate,” the SSNP also said.

The party also called on the “human world conscious” to take action against the “Israeli massacre which has been continuous” since the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

Israeli troops opened fire on Sunday as protesters from Syria stormed a ceasefire line in the occupied Golan Heights, with Damascus saying 20 demonstrators were killed.

Sunday’s protest was to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the "Naksa", or Israel's defeat of Arab armies in the 1967 Six-Day War.
