As-Safir newspaper quoted on Tuesday an unnamed source as saying that Prime Minister Saad Hariri believed that the positive results of the Saudi-Syrian efforts would be revealed soon.
This comes after Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad held talks with Lebanese political leaders on Friday in a bid to calm the political situation.
Fears of renewed conflict rose in July after Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would indict members of his party in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
The daily also said that Hariri was in Sardinia on vacation.
