No plans for Hariri,
Nasrallah meeting

BEIRUT - Future Movement Secretary General Ahmad Hariri said that no meeting is planned between the party’s leader Saad Hariri, who returned to Lebanon recently after a three-year absence, and Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

“At present and for the foreseeable future, no meeting has been proposed between them,” Hariri told Lebanese magazine Al-Risala al-Islamiya in an interview published on Friday.

He added that the party leader had made his surprise return to Lebanon earlier this month in order to “lead [Muslim] moderacy in Lebanon,” and said that “the Future [Movement’s] popular base agrees with the choices [he] has made to confront extremism.”

On August 8, Saad Hariri made a surprise return to Lebanon, over three years after he left the country for security reasons following the toppling of his national-unity cabinet by March 8 parties.

At present and for the foreseeable future, no meeting has been proposed between them.
