Arrest warrants issued against
four people in Naim Abbas case

BEIRUT - Military Court Judge Fadi Sawwan issued on Monday arrest warrants against four people suspected of being involved in the case of Abdullah Azzam Brigades official Naim Abbas, the National News Agency reported.

However, the report did not identify the suspects.

Last month, the Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Naim Abbas following a period of intense surveillance.

Abbas admitted to the existence of an explosives-rigged Toyota RAV-4 parked in Beirut’s Tariq al-Jedide, and revealed the existence of other rigged cars. Abbas also confirmed that he was connected to a number of bombings, according to a statement from army command.
