Friends, Plesae be advised that I have launched a campaign to help those displaced by the Syrian crisis. I need all the help I can get.We need as many signatures as possible, to keep the petition alive or it'll be shut down due to lack of support I just posted the petition and I hope you can help in the gathering of signatures -- it's called: We Challenge Ahmadinejad & Co. The theme being for him to pressure the Syrian regime into allowing a UN agency, full, unfettered access to all areas in Syria, to care for the displaced. This issue is very important to me, and together we can do something about it! Read more about it and sign it here: http://www.avaaz.org/en/petition/We_Challenge_Ahmadinejad_Co/ Campaigns like this always start small, but they grow when people like us get involved -- please take a second right now to help out by signing and passing it on. Thanks so much.

For all who wonder, read the below extract from the Old Testament. Whatever violence the Assads did to Lebanon is now turning against them. For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, And the devastation of its beasts by which you terrified them, Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants. (Habakuk 2:17)

Time and again, external intervention, if not bestowed with divine approval from the pioneering gods where which titles and names of a country and the very elected leaders found therein have all been put into their respective geographic places to serve as icons of internal genetic liberty. Titles and names in each country wre undoubtedly linked to the early kingdoms, and their beginnings.....posessing many promises where betterment of their people and the sustinability of its natural life supporting systems were percieved to co-exist along a perfectly-undisturbed paternal course. As we appear to enter the exact dimension laid before us in the beginning, we must reinstate our aboriginal senses to guide the ancient protocols, that Syria and Israel are two genetic groups within the SUMER AKKAD kingdom, JEWMAR (zow-meR or SAMAR)....Thus, White Jews must accept the protocol that Jerusalem is DEUISLAM as ALLAHYAJJA are One.

David, your wards are quiet generous, that would describe "Arab" people, there is no description in any written ward to give them their rightly dues. Kudos to their enemies, they plan and the mindless idiots get the job done to the last details. What is the future for such people, a people that let other decide their fate, their lives, and where their children will be, despite their multiplying numbers (and God knows that might be the only thing they are good at), you may ask, it is written all over, extinction...

First thing I recommend to do after Syria is free (which i can see is becoming very soon), is to expell the Russians from Tartus and cut any ties with the Chinese. THEY REALLY DESERVE THIS MOVE. They are not satisfied with the fact that they can autocratically rule in their own countries, they want to own Syria, as well. RUSSIA and CHINA, please be aware and realize, that Syria is not your personal belonging !!! In fact, it has nothing to do with you. So KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF !!!

Does Bashar Hassad want to finish like Gaddafi ? I can't understand his stubborness, is he deaf and blind ? Surely the world (north, south, east and west) has given him ample time to DO SOMETHING to stop this bloodshed. But no, he continues making a mockery of the world's diplomacy. This regime is sick and criminal and must GO.

So many terrorists we have not witnessed anywhere else on this planet, than in Syria for a long time now. Mr. President Assad, could you give the world an explanation on why are these terrorists attacking the Syrian people? Why are they killing them? Why Al-Qaeda is attacking the Syrian people rather than some US or israeli targets? This is a very interesting question I hope somebody will finally ask you in an interview. I think there are no bigger terrorists in your country than yourself and your privat Syrian army. These are the real terrorists and mean a real threat for the Syrian people who are just trying to defend demselves as much as they can. May God help them in their victory over tyranny.

For years they played us against each other, now there all against each other. For years they filled our streets with terror now they got terror on there streets. For years they assasinated our leaders now there leaders are targets for assasination. But worst of all they gave us the cancer HA and now they got there own cancer the FSA. POWER to the FSA.

The Russians are the most sickest and twisted people ever by continuing to support a depraved murderer like this. And I'm also extremely upset by the U.S. response as well. But what got me turning was al-maliki's attitude. Isn't it enough the shia gained a foothold in Iraq but that wasn't enough for al-maliki, he wants complete power. Then u have the sectarian al-maliki stating that he is against the overthrow of bashar, forgetting, that it was foreign intervention that enabled him to come to power. The Iranians along with al-maliki are playing a risky game indeed, by biting off more then what they can chew. They don't want Syria to obtain it's natural place. The Iraqi's desperately wanted to get rid of there baath leader while they are happy with the other baath leader in Syria. They know all to well the suffering and oppression that comes with those baathist and yet they deny that freedom to the Syrian people.

Regarding latest attempts at Syrian peace: Do you realize that if one uses the average number of deaths, daily, in Syria, and if one uses Monday, April 2nd, 2012, as a beginning date toward this latest attempt to get a halt to the slaughter by April 10th, 2012, then, by the tenth of this month, another 540 to over 800 more Syrians will have lost their lives? Who genuinely believes, for one moment, that Assad will stop killing, all of a sudden, on the tenth of this month? (Assad, even as I write this, continues to hornswoggle the Syrian people, the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and anyone else who believes Assad's continuing balderdash. Im glad we can get over this theory of a "rising Turkey". Turkey is no regional player; it is a regional observer. As much as I hate the Iranian government, they are only third to the US and Israel in terms of power projection. There is a genocide happening in Syria and Turkey's response is nothing. What do you expect from a morally bankrupt nation who itself committed genocide against the Armenian people during WWI.

Or will they stop the bombing of homs on election day so they can vote. Or funnier still who will count the votes. My biggest concern is that will sunnis in syria ever become equal citizens or will they always be the victims of alawite aparthied. Do alawites realy think this is just gonna go away like a bad dream. Or funnier still do they think they can pull off a divine victory like there HA cousins. When is the world going to arrive to the realization that Bashar Assad can only be stopped by force. This is not a man you can negotiate with. Ironicly, and humor not intended, he reminds me of the hollywood movie, The Terminator. He can't be bargained with. He can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until all of his enemies in Syria are dead. Doesn't 11 months of terror, massacres and the killing of thousands of Syrian people bring the message home. When is the international community going to act in a meaningful way. For how long is the world going to wait until this massively evil, brutal dictator falls from power? Unilateral military intervention must occur right now, if the Syrian people mean anything to us.

Lies, lies, and more lies....The Syrian Regime detonated both car bombs by remote control, and the world understands that. What are 53 more innocent lives, when they have killed 6200+ already? Logical and intelligent people in this FREE world, are not imbeciles or ignorant to the absolute truth. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude these were not "suicide" bombings, and not orchestrated by anyone other than the "Syrian Psycho", Bashar ASSad. Also, it is becoming very clear, the Arab League is obviously very incompetent, and Syria is playing the Arab League, like a violin. The Syrian regime is not interested in slowing down this slaughter, using the Arab League, and the League is going to end up looking like a huge fool. In the end, only the UN, with the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and China, will all get together, and finish Bashar and Maher off, as the last two are starting to realize the Middle East, cannot afford another Hitler or Stalin. I can't believe the Assad regime is duping the world. The writing is definately on the wall. The two so called terrorist explosions which occured in Damascus was a complete setup from start to finish by the syrian government. This regime is willing to try every trick in the book just to stay in power because so many issues are at stake here. I have no doubt what so ever, that the group claiming respossabilty is not the muslim brotherhood, but an obscure group setup by no other then the syrian government itself. How many times does this devilish regime have to lie to the world and to its own people. I hate to say this but the Arab League should recall the monitors back. Because of there presence, the regime is going to excelerate the destruction of the cities and kill many more civilians while it distracts the AL monitors in areas where they are not needed. The Assad government has many more plots its going to sow and show that its the victim and not the offender. Do we really think it

Are you serious? It really amazes me to hear that some idiot lebanese christians are supporting Assad. the 100 days war, the 1975-2005 years of massacre... all that forgotten? I am a christian.. and Jesus said thou shall not kill and thou shall not lie, how can a human being, any human being support the murder of children in the streets!!!! Are we that sick??? I think that before we dealt with what was wrong but still we said it was wrong but as a result of intimidation and fear we committed our wrongs. Today we reach a new low.. today we call the massacre of children, something right to do. Today we are allowing the west to say that it is no problem if Israel wipe out a hall country because arabs do that to themselves they won't feel any difference. And to our new Maronite patriarch, No christian on Earth has the right to bless someone who kills children, Jesus said let the children come to me for they are the closest to god's glory well in syria even children are massacred in style

The Assaad forces bombed the oil installations at Homs to cover and divert world attention away from a massive massacre they are preparing to commit very soon. Seeing that the Europeans are pre-occupired with the Brussels summit and the Americans are busy getting ready for the 2012 U.S. presidency, we are left with the Arabic League, which hasn't really done much, other then some silly sanctions that definately wont work in the short term. Turkey too, has adopted sanctions and spoken out but to much talk and no viable action. I am afraid, at the end, the Syrian people are left on their own and going to suffer more then what they've already gone through, which is really tragic and sad. I hope God will hear there voices and help them. I can't believe we have come to almost 10 months giving Assad a free hand in killing his people and not doing anything about it. Does Hama 1982 ring a bell? When is the world going to act against this syrial killer? When will the Syrian people see justice?

Prayers for Syria. It must not become another Libya. President Assad is quite a different character to Colonel Gaddafi. Military intervention by outside forces must be the absolute last option on the table. The violence must be mitigated, the country stabilised as much as possible and the general welfare must be increased over the coming years. The socio-economic reasons for the conflict must not be ignored. All behaviour is a result of mindset and setting. The current GDP of the areas of Israel, Judea and Samaria/The West Bank, Gaza, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia is approximately $1.6 trillion. This region can grow by at least 5% p.a. over the coming 38 years. If the right command structure is put in place the Holy Land will be a platform of peace, stability and prosperity. The whole world will benefit from this centre of unfolding potential. This is not blue sky thinking. There are concrete benefits to the correct plan and vision prevailing. www.wp2050.com

Simply put: Our region and our peoples can no more tolerate Alien Violent Fundamentalist Shia militias as well in Syria as in Lebanon where those hallucinated Fundamentalists are doing their mass murdering business. Shia Assadian Fundamentalism must be eradicated once and for all from our homelands, as they are closely allied with Salafists and bringing them from Talibanland and Pakistan to spread terror together with Iranian-Assadian theocratical Fundamentalism bunch of murderers. The main obstacle for eradicating this hallucinated dark ages scum is US protecting them, as it did in eighties in Afghanistant. Mohammed J isn't saying massacres aren't taking place, he's simply saying that the video presented here doesn't look real and he provided evidence for it (contrary to what Arabs usually do in arguments - use emotions to "prove" their point). Afte rmore than 2 years in Syria, I left Syria in mid-April with my Syrian wife and I have no doubt that Syrian government is massacring civilians, much, much more than we know now, yet I'm not necessarily bought over by this video. Mohamed Kanj, your pathetic! Stop being in denial and don't cover up for your masters. Enough is enough. The actions of the Syrian army and secruity forces are plain to see. People are not in the mood to take this nonesence from you, especially after the terrible, shocking events that have occured so far, in the country. This video definately does show real dead bodies killed by the army loyalist to Mahar. They then implant fake evidence to show that they were armed terrorist, before calling the Syrian TV to document the event as News. The person who recorded it on his phone felt so pleased with the slaughter that it should be kept as a token memory. It then falls into the wrong hands and is uploaded on Youtube. I am not saying that is what happened but that is my view.

  • I have a question

I am very disgusted with the people who continuously deny the the ongoing events in Syria. If you are outside Syria and deny the existence of these brutality by the armed forces used against the protesters, then go there in person since your beloved tyrant president has told the armed forces not to fire against the unarmed protesters and live the experience yourselves and find out who is dying. If you are inside Syria and still listen to the biased Syrian media with full heart, be patriotic and go to Homs or Hama amd experience the reality on the ground and find out for yourself who is telling the truth. If you do neither, then it is more respectable for you to shut the heck up and stop being an ignorant imbecile living an illusional assad fantasy island

Why veto the passage of a bill at the U.N. that condemns the torturing and killing of unarmed people who simply what freedom and justice. Government controlled news agency SANA and false websites of Romanian and European Union institutions maintained by Assad administration henchmen are posting illusive statements that Romanian officials are supporting their actions. Do not be fooled! The heart of the Romanian people goes out to each an every Syrian out on the streets risking death for freedom. No other nation understands better because Romanians have also bled to drawn their tyrants in a deluge of blood. It is now that a nation's will to live free is measured by the number of deaths of its children. Keep fighting! There will be justice. God is the Greatest!

I have never witnessed such courage, determination and passion, in the pursuit for freedom, such as the Syrian people. Your bravery has surpassed everyone's expectations. The Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions were a picnic gathering compared to the odds your up against. Your situation is entirely different since your army is not standing with you. I am crying as I write these words, knowing the pain and suffering the regime and its associates are putting the Syrian protesters through. Its just so awful and disgusting. The horrendous torture and killing of a 13 year old boy, Hamza, and the firing at a bus filled with children is just two examples. These are among the many videos on the internet that can be viewed. The problem with the arab world and with the arab peoples is that they got used to stinky politics. They watch and hail the winner. We forgot to make a concious and a moral decision no matter what it costs. The moral thing to do now is to say that no matter what happens in Syria, I'm confident the people will win, we should talk according to our morals and this means say it very lound and clear: the Syrian regime and the Assad family is the worst thing that could happen to Syria and the Syrians, and now that the people of Syria revolted we should not hesitate to make this statement with them. The Syrian Poeple will not forgive us for our political stand point. There is no place for politicts here, this is a life of death matter. it is funny how Arabs are reacting to the ongoing revolts in their neighboring countries... back then we despised the "west" for interfeering in "our" countries, as they are after one thing, their benefits. Look at us now, we demand the west to interfere, rather than ask our so called "leaders" to condamn violence against our own people... From my point of view, what is happening to our Arab countries is something sacred, we should defend it and be clever not to fall into hidious conflicts in between us as Arabs, like lately in EGYPT. (Muslims & Christians). As for Syria, even if the regime surpassed this hurricane by crushing innocent civilians, he'll be only wining a battle, the war has begun, and the people will win at the end.

Ya Rami: Soon NATO and the US will get rid of Ghaddafi. Once that happens, they will be focusing on you and Bashar, Bushra, Rustom, Maher, Assef, and the rest of your gang. Get ready ... as it's coming your way.....soon...

So, Rami will fight to the end? LOL...I am falling off my chair in laughter.....Sheik Rami will "FIGHT" to be on the LAST plane out of Syria, once it becomes clearer to him, if he does not take that plane, he just might hang from a lightpost on the streets of Damascus... it seems, don't want to believe they are in BIG, HUGE trouble, and 90% of all Syrians, hate them....the lives they had prior to March 15th, are NOT going to be the same lives, ever again....they need to wake up and admit they are in a very bad situation......when people have huge amounts of money, they think they are safe. Wrong, ya Rami, wrong, wrong, wrong....

The Assad regime started falling apart, the day they assassinated Rafik Hariri.....actually, the day Hafez Assad died...that, was the beginning of the end, as this Bashar, ... does not have the skills to be President of a local club, let alone a country of 22 million......plus, everyone knows he is not the one who is running the country...it is his lion sister Bushra, his ... brother Maher, his ... cousin Rami Makhlouf, his ... brother in law Assef Shawkat, and the leftovers from his father's regime. They think everyone in the world is stupid, but we are not....soon, they will all be gone...I give them 6 weeks, maximum, before the army turns on them, and they string them up, one by one, from the lightpoles of the streets of Damascus....

SO, you syrian revolutionists, rise and do the job once and for all... nothing however, comes at no cost but it MUST BE PAID. God bless you all.

The Syrian government is not really a government at all, but a Syrian Mafia who illegally controls the country. They are not going to "reform", because to do so, would mean they would lose the power and wealth they have amassed since 1963. They will fight to the end, because they have too much to lose. This is not a real and true govenment. This is a family and a group of people who have been holding the Syrian people hostage for 48 years. How can anyone be so stupid not to see that. God Bless the good people of Syria and give them the strength to win this war. When this is over, they will have to build a monument to all these martyrs, for they are the ones who will have freed Syria from this brutal dictatorship. How a group of thugs can literally hold a country of 20+ Million people, with a history of 5,000 + years, hostage, fo

This is the hypocrisy of Nasrallah's bosses "29 Jan 2011 Ramin Mehmanparast Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman called on Egyptian officials to avoid any violent confrontation with this popular wave and to abide by the rightful requests of the people. Pointing to the current developments in Egypt, he added that the justice-seeking move of the Egyptian people is based on religious teachings and springs from the Islamic vigilance in the region; and it is done in a bid to lead the country to its main status in the domestic, regional and international arenas --FAST FORWARD-- April 12, 2011 Ramin Mehmanparast Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that protests against the government in Syria are due to a western conspiracy to destabilize Syria for supporting resistance in the Middle East. He added what is happening in Syria is an evil deed implemented by the west, particularly the US and Israel”. God bless the Syrian people who like their Egyptian counterparts seek freedom and justice.

The Assad Family are finally tasting the blood of the thousands, upon thousands of Lebanese they killed during the Lebanese civil war, plus what they did to Hariri and his associates, and also to the 20 thousand of their own Syrian people, his father killed, in Hama, in 1982, like it was nothing. Ya Bashar, back then, there was no Internet, no YouTube, no Skype, no Facebook, no camera cell phones, however, today, dear Dr. Bashar, you cannot simply "turn the lights out", like your father did, back then. The world sees what you are doing, (...) and the days of your (...) brother, Maher and your (...) cousin, Rami, are fast coming to an end. Freedom, for the good people of Syria, is just around the corner. Next up, Iran, Hizbollah, and Hamas....the world is changing, ya Bashar, and you (...) are missing the boat....

I hope that the end of the brutal and ruthless regime of Assad is near ! This regime killed thousands in Syria in the 80's and hundreds of innocent Lebanese (Achrafieh 1978-1980, Zahlé 1981, Tripoli 1983 etc) plus political assassinations since 2005 (Rafic Hariri, Samir Kassir etc). Syria is the most blatantly corrupt society in the Middle East. Whereas in Egypt, the hereditary republic idea was thwarted, in Syria it passed with the usual "99%" of the popular vote. Although the country is supposedly socialist, all the profitable private ventures are headed by Rami Makhlouf, Assad's cousin, who is virtually the front man for the family businesses. Syria probably has the highest rate of politician "suicide" rate in the world. THis is a merciless regime that will do anything to hold to power - Ghadafi is child play compared to what lies beneath the Syrian regime.
