Medicine sent to besieged
town of Tfeil

BEIRUT - Lebanese Health Minister Wael Abou Faour tasked the Baalbek district medical services and Primary Health Care Committee to send essential medicine and vaccines for children to the besieged border town of Tfeil.

The aid, which were delivered on Tuesday, comes as part of a campaign launched last week to help residents of the town, the National News Agency reported.

Last Tuesday, a convoy bringing food and medical aid reached Tfeil, accompanied by security forces.

Over 4,000 Lebanese citizens and 10,000 Syrian refugees were besieged in the border town, and lived without supplies of food, electricity, shelter, or aid for four months.

These aids are part of a campaign launched last week to help residents of the town.
